Russell Tobin's client, a prominent social media services company, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join their team remotely. This role is pivotal in driving marketing activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, implementing sales strategies, and managing marketing staff. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements, defining the market landscape, analyzing competitors' market shares, and forecasting projected business outcomes. The position requires a strategic mindset to establish targeted market shares and improve product marketability and profitability through thorough research and innovative product packaging. Additionally, the role involves coordinating new product development and providing valuable insights by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends to support the marketing and organizational mission.

Responsibilities

  • Run marketing activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans.
  • Implement sales plans and manage marketing staff.
  • Identify marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements and defining market dynamics.
  • Analyze competitors' market shares and strengths/weaknesses.
  • Forecast projected business outcomes and establish targeted market shares.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Enhance product packaging and coordinate new product development.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends to provide insights.
  • Accomplish marketing and organizational missions by completing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or journalism.
  • 8-10 years of experience in product marketing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and provide excellent customer service.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Product marketing experience related to go-to-market (GTM) launch plans and familiarity with early-stage product testing.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and experience in monetization and ads.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mixture of inbound and outbound product marketing management experience.
  • Former client product marketing management experience.
