About the position

Samsara is seeking a Product Marketing Operations Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in our growth journey. As the first member of the Product Marketing Operations team, you will work closely with R&D leadership and partner functions, including product management, sales, and marketing, to design and implement the processes and tools necessary for effective and efficient operations. Your contributions will be crucial as we accelerate our new product launch cadence, ensuring that our marketing strategies align with our business objectives and customer needs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing the overall sales enablement strategy for new product launches and feature releases. This includes creating a comprehensive communication plan for sales and customer-facing materials, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and equipped with the necessary tools to succeed. You will also run the project management office for significant Product Marketing events, such as our Sales Kickoff and customer conferences, ensuring that these initiatives are executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for scaling organizations and streamlining operations. You will lead various projects in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating validated project management skills and strong business acumen. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver impactful results at scale will be essential to your success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Launch and manage initiatives that improve the product marketing team's operations.
  • Build, manage, and identify operational improvements to internal workflows and workflows with partner organizations including product management, sales, and marketing.
  • Design and own the product communications strategy and product marketing launch calendar.
  • Design the refresh cadence and timeline for core sales tools including solution pitch documents, roadmap documents, and product collateral.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of PMM materials including pitch documents, roadmap previews, and messaging briefs.
  • Be accountable for the overall Product Marketing contribution to Sales Kickoff and our customer conference, Beyond.
  • Develop the project management tools required to set us up for success and drive the team to deliver against our timelines.
  • Design and own special projects for the VP of Product Marketing.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles as we scale globally.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of work experience, including 4+ years of experience in management consulting.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with senior and executive leadership.
  • Ability to navigate through and communicate complex ideas effectively - verbally, in writing, and presentations.
  • Advanced decision-making skills, including the ability to be proactive and adapt quickly.
  • Strong people and thought leadership; ability to develop, mentor and coach others.
  • Ability to thrive in an action-oriented, fast-paced, cross-regional, diverse, and dynamic work environment.

Nice-to-haves
