About the position

The Product Master Data Manager is a key role within a leading smart home consumer goods company, responsible for overseeing the integrity, consistency, and quality of product-related master data. This position involves managing and governing product data throughout its lifecycle, ensuring accurate product information across various systems to support business operations and decision-making. The role combines strategic vision with tactical execution, focusing on the development of the Document Services and Data Management organization to meet the company's expanding needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Master Data Management (MDM) Projects for strategic initiatives and related systems.
  • Define MDM standards and governance processes, implement solutions, and oversee execution.
  • Own the corporate product Master Data Management process, identifying and correcting gaps in the framework.
  • Define company standards for product Master Data and ensure compliance for global data integrity.
  • Design and develop a framework for product Master Data standardization and governance.
  • Establish, monitor, and audit product, vendor, cost, weights, and dimensions for enterprise solutions.
  • Serve as master data SME on new system integrations or enhancements requiring master data.
  • Manage and modify process and data points to support seamless integration as business models change.
  • Ensure data quality and MDM adherence through systems and processes.
  • Research and document Master Data processes and governance best practices.
  • Create and maintain accurate multi-level Bills of Material (BOM) and Item Master records for Finished Goods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, data management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product data management, data governance, or a related field.
  • Experience with product information management (PIM) systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
  • Experience in defining Master Data Management strategies and implementing MDM services and capabilities.
  • Proficiency with data management tools and technologies, such as Arena, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or other PIM/ERP systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct data errors and inconsistencies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • A master's degree or relevant certification in data management is a plus.
  • Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality solutions.
