About the position

As a Product Oversight Analyst at Bloomberg LP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with product licenses while providing guidance to both customers and developers on best practices. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze existing client profiles and data workflows, particularly focusing on Desktop API usage, to ensure that our product offerings are utilized appropriately in relation to content licensing. This is essential for mitigating business risks associated with non-compliance. You will conduct in-depth reviews to understand the use cases for market data consumption, tracing the journey from delivery to final output. This analysis will help identify potential risks in existing client profiles and market conditions, allowing for proactive measures to be taken. Your strategic input will be invaluable during the product development process, as you will manage projects aimed at enhancing visibility into usage and risk analysis across our user base. Collaboration is key in this role; you will partner with divisional management and business unit leadership teams to implement effective controls for our data. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating with both internal and external contacts, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly and transparently, regardless of the technical expertise of the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to customers and developers on compliance of product licenses.
  • Analyze existing client profiles and data workflows, focusing on Desktop API usage.
  • Conduct deep-dive reviews to understand market data consumption use cases.
  • Identify and analyze existing client profiles and market conditions for non-compliance risks.
  • Provide strategic input and direction in the product development process.
  • Manage projects to develop tools for enhancing visibility of usage and risk analysis.
  • Partner with divisional management and business unit leadership to implement data controls.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts of varying technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as a Sales Specialist, Product Analyst, Product Manager, or related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience in compliance review.
  • Two (2) years of experience in risk mitigation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in data flows.
  • Two (2) years of experience in design.
  • Two (2) years of experience in technical analysis of systems and data ingestion.
  • Two (2) years of experience in risk solutions.
