About the position

The Product Owner Analyst III plays a critical role in the success of the Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program by managing the claims management system and ensuring it meets the needs of users. This position involves serving as a subject matter expert, prioritizing backlogs, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the system's functionality and efficiency. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to drive improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the product owner and maintain, groom, and prioritize backlogs for assigned value streams.
  • Act as the primary voice of the customers for the claims management system.
  • Analyze data from various stakeholders and recommend changes to the claims system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop consensus during sprints.
  • Act as the point of contact with development teams for system incidents and solutions.
  • Create and update operational products including roadmaps and workflows.
  • Manage relationships and daily activities with vendors, ensuring accountability to performance standards.
  • Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirement gathering and testing.

Requirements

  • Six years of relevant experience in a technical, quantitative, or analytical role.
  • Experience with reviewing user stories and acceptance testing.
  • Strong organizational skills and individual initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive collaboration with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building large scale, mission-critical digital systems.
  • Background in insurance or leave management systems.
  • Experience working with customers to analyze potential value add to products.
