About the position

As the Product Team Manager for Payables, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Bank's Product Management function across all business lines. Your primary responsibility will be to drive enhancements, stability, and scalability within the Bank's product suite. This includes developing and leading the Bank's Product strategy and roadmap, ensuring that innovative concepts are transformed into tangible, profitable products that align with the Bank's objectives. You will provide hands-on leadership at the departmental level, guiding your team to realize key innovations and effectively manage the product lifecycle. In this role, you will support the Product Management Director and Chief Operating Officer in executing the Bank's strategic plan, with a focus on developing and operating profitable banking products. Your success will be measured by your team's ability to meet product development objectives, manage product health, and respond effectively to market dynamics. You will direct Product Development, overseeing strategic technology direction, project delivery, and resource allocation, including budget and personnel management. You will also ensure the department's success in managing product health and effectiveness, proactively addressing obstacles to product development and adoption, and mitigating risks associated with market developments and service delivery complications. Building strong relationships with executives and senior leaders in partner departments, such as Lending, Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, and IT, will be essential to facilitate compliance with technical processes and enhance customer service. As a leader, you will be responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development of your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive enhancements, stability, and scalability in the Bank's product suite.
  • Develop and lead the Bank's Product strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to realize concepts and innovations into profitable products.
  • Support the Product Management Director and COO in executing the Bank's strategic plan.
  • Direct Product Development with responsibility for strategic technology direction and project delivery.
  • Manage resource allocation, including budget and personnel.
  • Oversee the Product lifecycle process and define standards for business case development and product design.
  • Ensure success in managing product health and effectiveness.
  • Proactively address obstacles to product development and adoption.
  • Foster strong relationships with executives and senior leaders in partner departments.
  • Lead and develop a team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of equivalent experience in product management, treasury management, and lending/deposit sales.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, and treasury management.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience with banking products, including treasury management and credit cards, and market-specific awareness.
  • Experience with Product Management Methodology, including new product launches and road mapping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
