We are seeking a Product Owner and Business Analyst to work onsite in Houston, TX, who will serve as a strategic and tactical leader within our client’s organization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in leadership and development roles within large companies, specifically those with annual revenues exceeding $500 million. This role requires a professional who can deliver solutions for unique data sets, utilizing data analytics to influence critical business decisions, mitigate risks, and develop processes for nationwide transportation and distribution. The candidate will work across multidisciplinary teams, which can include up to 12 members, and will be well-versed in Scrum and agile methodologies for both software and data engineering projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate cross-functional leadership, building consensus among diverse stakeholders by simplifying complex problems and translating business concepts into actionable architecture. They will partner with both business and technical teams to prioritize tasks effectively. The role demands strong business and data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize large data sets, mine data from various sources, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop appropriate testing methodologies. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating actionable recommendations based on their analyses. In addition, the position requires expertise in data engineering, architecture, and the use of data lakes, AI, and big data technologies. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Python, Airflow, Azure, AWS, and various database management systems is essential. The candidate will also need to have experience with enterprise analytics and reporting design, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, and SAS. The methodologies and concepts relevant to this role include data architecture, data wrangling, OLTP, agile, Scrum, SDLC, machine learning, and database normalization. The candidate should also have experience in developing and maintaining both legacy MVC applications and modern applications using microservices architecture.
