About the position

NSC Global is currently seeking a Product Owner/Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial as we aim to provide exceptional global network implementation and support solutions to our esteemed clients. As a Product Owner/Business Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to enhance operational efficiency and deliver cost-effective solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between our technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that our product offerings align with market needs and client expectations. In this position, you will leverage your experience in the financial services sector, particularly in retirement services, to guide product development and management. You will work closely with agile teams, utilizing methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban to facilitate project execution. Your role will involve prioritizing product features, managing backlogs, and ensuring that the development process adheres to agile principles. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and translating them into actionable tasks for the development team. Your expertise in product management tools like Jira and Rally will be essential as you track progress and report on project status. Additionally, your understanding of software development processes will enable you to contribute to discussions around technical feasibility and implementation strategies. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products not only meet regulatory standards but also provide a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner, preferably in the financial services or retirement services industry.
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience working with agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with product management tools such as Jira and Rally.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and technologies.
  • Sound understanding of Retirement space in areas such as Institutional Servicing, Distributed Transactions, Offer Selection and Management.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner in financial services or retirement services.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with product management tools like Jira and Rally.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and technologies.
  • Understanding of Retirement space in at least two areas.
