Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the product vision and meets the needs of the target audience.
  • Write detailed user stories and define clear acceptance criteria, ensuring that the development team understands the requirements and can deliver the desired functionality.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including customers, business users, and technical teams, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment.
  • Collaborate with the development team to plan sprints, estimate effort, and track progress.
  • Facilitate sprint reviews to demonstrate completed work and gather feedback. Conduct retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and enhance the development process.
  • Analyze existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and define requirements for automation or optimization.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions, prioritize features, and measure the success of the product.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and actionable.
  • Contribute to the design of solutions that address business needs and align with the product vision.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a business analysis role, ideally with experience in the insurance industry.
  • A deep understanding of the insurance industry, its regulations, and key performance indicators.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise, and testable user stories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform product decisions.
  • A resourceful and adaptable problem-solver with a 'get things done' attitude.
