About the position

The Product Owner / Business Analyst role is focused on managing and prioritizing the product backlog while ensuring that the needs of business stakeholders are met. This position requires a strong background in Equipment & Asset Finance, particularly in leasing and hire purchase businesses, and involves collaboration with various teams to deliver high-quality solutions using Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of business stakeholders.
• Consult with business and product owners to prioritize and shape the product backlog using Agile practices.
• Engage with end users and subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, validate, and endorse requirements.
• Deliver internal training for new features to team members and end-users by identifying needs, preparing materials, and delivering as needed.
• Manage scrum calls and write user stories as part of the Agile methodology.
• Demonstrate Agile behavior that emphasizes collaboration, delivery, reflection, and improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in Equipment & Asset Finance, particularly in leasing and hire purchase businesses.
• Background in Motor Finance or Equipment Finance is ideal.
• Exposure to Fleet/Inventory finance with large finance providers.
• Experience with the entire HP/Leasing lifecycle including deal origination, agreements, credit appraisal, and lifecycle events.
• Experience in comprehensive commercial lending, trading, payments, loan restructuring, and regulatory compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with products like LoanIQ, ACBS, AFS, and Tradeworks.
• Experience with Agile methodology and managing scrum calls.

Nice-to-haves

• Desirable exposure in Heavy equipment, Chattel, or Luxury equipment financing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
