About the position

The Product Owner - Business Optimization at Thomson Reuters is responsible for driving the vision, planning, and execution of sales experiences for the Tax Professionals customer segment. This role focuses on enhancing sales capabilities through artificial intelligence and analytics, ensuring the delivery of high business and customer value across the sales/customer journey. The Product Owner will lead collaborative teams to prioritize impactful work and ensure successful launches and continuous improvements of capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition of the product vision for each initiative and assigned touchpoints of the experience.
  • Ensure the squad delivers the highest business and customer value for each sprint.
  • Drive release planning and sprint planning by writing and prioritizing user stories.
  • Sign off on user stories, lead demos, and prioritize customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • Deliver working capabilities on time with features required to support business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with various Operate teams to support operationalization and capture learnings.
  • Facilitate business requirement gathering and definition through various methods.
  • Analyze and interpret business requirements and perform current, target, gap, and impact analyses.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories understood by all stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research as appropriate for each project and within sprints.
  • Collaborate with other POs, Commercial Excellence, Product Marketing, and Product Teams.
  • Define product success criteria that deliver business value.
  • Own key product decisions and sign-off of user stories and software releases.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively to ensure alignment and advocacy.
  • Monitor team performance metrics to prioritize user stories with the highest business and user value.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating and delivering experiences for sales, from ideation to launch.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders and team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrated domain expertise and/or technical acumen in digital sales and marketing trends.
  • Ability to create excitement among squad members and inspire action.
  • Comfortable driving experiments that value both success and failure as learning opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial approach with a willingness to innovate and take risks.
  • Ability to balance ideal operational state with delivering on goals.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
