About the position

The Data & Analytics team is a central team comprised of Data Engineering, Data Platform/Technologies, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Product, and Data Governance practices. This mighty team serves the enterprise that includes sales, finance, marketing, customer success, product and more. The team serves as a core conduit and partner to operational systems that run the business including Salesforce, Workday and more. The Product Owner - Analytical Data is a key member of the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization that drives a product mindset and delivers enterprise data to support reporting, analytics, science and AI enablement. They will lead the development, management, and optimization of enterprise data products. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and actionable data solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in building and managing data products that empower business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the lifecycle of analytical data products, from ideation to delivery and ongoing maintenance.
  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to align with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Partner with business leaders, data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data product features.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic goals.
  • Drive enterprise-wide data initiatives to promote data accessibility, quality, and governance.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive insights, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data products to measure their success and value to the organization.
  • Continuously optimize data products based on feedback, usage patterns, and evolving business needs.
  • Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for data product development teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of data product features and enhancements in alignment with the agile framework.
  • Ensure data products adhere to enterprise data governance standards, privacy regulations, and security policies.
  • Collaborate with compliance and IT security teams to mitigate risks and address data-related concerns.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in data product management, data analytics, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise data solutions that drive business value.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen, relationship building, and superlative communication skills
  • Expertise in data modeling, analytics, and visualization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment where decisions you make will have a large impact
  • Get-it-done mindset. You're not afraid to take risks, you're humble and scrappy!
  • Experience working within an agile scrum framework

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the technology sectors including business to business.
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science, data science, etc.
  • Creative, innovative and solution design thinking: You evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, and what will be simple and scalable
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
