The Product Manager at Honeywell is a pivotal role responsible for the delivery and support of products within the product line, particularly focusing on innovations in commercial and defense aircraft platforms. This position entails ensuring that the product roadmap is effectively broken down into Epics and Stories, which are maintained in a prioritized backlog for the product team. Acting as the voice of the customer, the Product Manager plays a crucial role in managing customer expectations through meticulous planning, execution, and sprint playbacks to the business. The role requires leading and supporting the product team during sprint playbacks to ensure alignment with business requirements and expectations. In addition to managing the product backlog, the Product Manager is responsible for discovering innovative product solutions that deliver necessary value, are user-friendly for the target audience, and can be developed within the available resources and time frame. The Product Manager will also work closely with the Product Owner to resolve any impediments encountered during the development process, ensuring that the team’s velocity is not hindered while still meeting business expectations. The Product Owner serves as the subject matter expert for the products, providing guidance on their suitability for various requirements and advocating for the value they deliver. Key responsibilities include partnering with Product Managers to develop product strategies, conducting product planning, and ensuring the quality of releases for the HBT Digital Value stream. The Product Manager will also be responsible for grooming the product backlog, ensuring that each sprint is prioritized to deliver the best value in the shortest possible time. This role requires a strong focus on customer needs, as the Product Manager will represent the voice of the business to the product team and work to resolve any impediments raised by the team. The position also involves presenting and demoing features and functionality to leaders and large organizations, identifying challenges and opportunities to improve the agile process, and advocating for the product team’s activities and successes.
