About the position

AllianceChicago is seeking a dynamic and impactful Product Owner of Population Health & Value-Based Care (PO of PH & VBC) to lead the development of data analytics, care coordination, and patient engagement features within its health information technology ecosystem. This role is crucial in supporting care delivery across over 80 Community Health Centers nationwide. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the population health and value-based care data and analytics landscape, as well as the technologies that underpin it. The Product Owner will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and configure a comprehensive primary outpatient care-based HIT ecosystem that includes features and functionalities tailored to support Population Health and Value-Based Care initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that leverage our unique capabilities and assets while utilizing customer research to identify market opportunities. As the PO of PH & VBC, you will spearhead the strategy, formation, execution, and performance of the PH & VBC product portfolios. You will evaluate market trends and competitive strategies to provide actionable recommendations, and create a structure that enables the product team to effectively measure AC products throughout their life cycles. Collaboration with internal stakeholders will be key to defining, refining, and improving the product vision, value proposition, and roadmap. You will also oversee the development and operationalization of a product roadmap that adapts to changes in state or federal guidance, continuously reviewing and updating the product roadmap and related tools as necessary. Your leadership will guide the Product Management teams in delivering sustainable value to customers while ensuring the feasibility of the product meets business needs. Staying informed on privacy and security changes that impact product development will be essential, as will managing and directing product teams to foster their success and professional growth through ongoing learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the PH & VBC product portfolios strategy, formation, execution, and performance.
  • Evaluate market trends and competitive strategies to provide recommendations.
  • Create a structure that enables the product team to leverage inputs from User Centered Design, Engineering, Clinical, and Sales.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define, refine, and improve the PH & VBC product vision, value proposition & roadmap.
  • Develop and operationalize a product roadmap for changes in state or federal guidance.
  • Continuously review and update the product roadmap and PHM data framework as needed.
  • Create and oversee a process guided toward a scalable product portfolio that impacts product usability.
  • Oversee Product Management teams in building outcomes that deliver sustainable value to customers.
  • Manage, drive, and provide direction to product teams to ensure their success and professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date on privacy and security changes that impact product development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare-related position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
  • 5+ years of experience with Population Health Solutions and understanding of HIT functionality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on partnership/customer focus.
  • Experience analyzing product metrics, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Familiarity with working cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, etc.
  • Data-driven mindset oriented towards problem-solving.
  • Experience with international development teams and vendor management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Experience with budget management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Product Owner experience strongly preferred.
