About the position

The Product Owner / SQL Developer role at ClearlyAgile involves functioning as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Proxy PO to guide and manage product responsibilities. The position requires collaboration with various product teams and stakeholders to decompose large epic stories into manageable features and user stories. The candidate will also be responsible for creating SQL queries for data validation and supporting backlog management activities.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Proxy PO to influence and guide product responsibilities.
• Collaborate with product teams, BAs, and testers to understand product features.
• Decompose large epic stories into features and user stories for the development team.
• Create SQL queries for data validation and ad-hoc needs.
• Lead and facilitate product backlog refinement sessions.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog prioritization and user acceptance testing.
• Build trust and establish relationships with technical and non-technical team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment with a solid understanding of the Product Owner role.
• Experience writing user stories and managing a product backlog.
• 3+ years of SQL experience, ideally as a former software developer.
• Advanced SQL skills, able to write complex SQL queries.
• Self-starter with a focus on people and building relationships.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Current or prior experience working as a product owner.
• Scrum or Product Owner certification like CSPO, PSPO, CSM.
• Experience working with offshore teams.
• Bachelor's degree.
