Our team is a place where we encourage self-starters, and everyone's ideas are heard and valued! We are looking for a Product Owner with advanced SQL skills to join the ClearlyAgile team. In this role, you will function as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Proxy PO to influence, guide, and handle responsibilities of a product owner. You will collaborate and communicate with various product teams, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to understand product features. Your responsibilities will include decomposing large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team. You will also create SQL queries for validation of data loads and for general purpose ad-hoc needs. Additionally, you will lead and facilitate product backlog refinement and provide support to the Product Owner with backlog prioritization, feature sequencing, organization, and user acceptance testing. Building trust and respect, establishing relationships, and developing rapport with both technical and non-technical team members will be key aspects of your role.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Proxy PO to influence and guide product responsibilities.
• Collaborate and communicate with various product teams, BAs, testers, etc. to understand product features.
• Decompose large epic stories into features and user stories for the development team.
• Create SQL queries for validation of data loads and ad-hoc needs.
• Lead and facilitate product backlog refinement.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog prioritization, feature sequencing, and organization.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and build relationships with team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment with a solid understanding of the Product Owner role.
• Experience writing user stories and managing a product backlog.
• 3+ years of SQL experience, ideally as a former software developer.
• Advanced SQL skills, able to write complex SQL queries.
• Self-starter with a focus on people and building relationships.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Current or prior experience working as a product owner.
• Scrum or Product Owner certification like CSPO, PSPO, CSM.
• Experience working with offshore teams.
• Bachelor's degree.
