About the position

The Product Owner with e-commerce and Retail experience will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical development. This position is based in Issaquah, WA, and requires the individual to work onsite three days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the retail and e-commerce domains, with a minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst. The role demands a deep understanding of business requirements elicitation, ensuring that the product vision aligns with customer needs and market trends. In this position, the Product Owner will be responsible for managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the development team understands the requirements. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, create use cases, and develop project scopes. A significant part of the role involves creating documentation that communicates effectively with varied audiences, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in Agile and Scrum environments, with at least 8 years of current experience in these methodologies. Proficiency in tools such as Jira and similar project management software is essential, as is knowledge of Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Microservice development platforms. The Product Owner will also be expected to utilize standard documentation tools and utilities to facilitate communication and project tracking.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Jira and similar project management tools.
  • Knowledge of Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Microservice development platforms.
  • 8+ years of experience creating documentation for varied audiences.
  • 5+ years of experience working on technical development projects.
  • Deep understanding of business requirements elicitation.
  • Proficient in business modeling, project scoping, and use case creation.
  • Expertise in utilizing standard documentation tools and utilities.
