About the position

The Product Owner at Windstar Cruises will lead the product ownership for the Seaware reservations platform and its associated systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that the platform meets the needs of various business stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration, and documentation. The Product Owner will work closely with multiple departments to oversee the platform's end-to-end use, ensuring alignment with business strategies and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication regarding roadmap items, support metrics, and report on the impact of our roadmap.
• Ensure business requirements align with our roadmap strategy and drive the successful execution of projects.
• Work with business units to gather and validate requirements, translating them into actionable items for the roadmap.
• Ensure all roadmap items have supporting documentation and decision-making archives.
• Facilitate discovery processes to identify and document requirements, ensuring development dependencies are understood and communicated.
• Develop and maintain metrics to measure the impact of the roadmap and create comprehensive reports to track progress.
• Monitor development timelines, identify potential delays, and work with teams to mitigate risks.
• Conduct thorough research to support various operational needs, analyze findings, and provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrate familiarity with agile development processes and possess knowledge of scrum methodology.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with multiple industry and government data security and data privacy mandates.
• Manage and maintain reporting requirements and the reporting change list.
• Track the usage and versions of all Seaware environment(s).

Requirements

• Proven experience with 5+ years as a Product Owner, Project Manager, Program Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Business Analyst.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Jira or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills, including success criteria and data-driven decision-making.
• Post-launch analytics experience.
• Knowledge and prior experience with Payment Card Industry compliance and other security compliance requirements.

• Experience working with a cruise line reservation platform and other related commercial applications.
