About the position

The Product Owner at 834 Labs is a pivotal role responsible for managing all product-related operations within an Agile/Scrum development team. This position involves orchestrating the entire product lifecycle, from roadmap creation to product launch and refinement, while ensuring alignment with customer needs and company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on documentation, user engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product success.

Responsibilities

• Create product specifications including wireframes, process workflows, and user stories.
• Champion the product internally and externally, defining clear goals around customer value.
• Engage in user research to understand customer needs and pain points.
• Lead the product functional design process based on user and technology knowledge.
• Assist in managing the product roadmap and translating features into product requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive library of product documentation.
• Monitor product performance and provide feedback for improvements.
• Define and prioritize the product backlog and sprint backlog for assigned products.
• Work in an Agile environment to refine priorities and identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage the iterative lifecycle of products from conception to launch.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with web applications.
• 4+ years of product ownership experience.
• 2+ years of active engagement in an Agile/Scrum team.
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager developing Web & Mobile apps or SaaS solutions.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and user story writing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven experience in operational oversight and ownership of software products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a mentor or tech lead.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and JS frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and automation frameworks.
