About the position

The Product Owner will play a crucial role in Digital Transformation projects, focusing on Data Centric and Infrastructure initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to manage product backlogs effectively. The Product Owner will be responsible for capturing business requirements, creating user stories, and ensuring that the development team delivers maximum value through effective backlog management and prioritization. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including technical teams and external partners, to create designs and prototypes that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively playing the role of a Product Owner for Digital Transformation projects.
  • Capturing business statements and pain areas by creating epics and user stories.
  • Documenting acceptance criteria and managing tasks/stories in JIRA.
  • Collaborating with external and internal teams to create designs and prototypes.
  • Facilitating and performing demos during sprint reviews to ensure expected business value is achieved.
  • Creating product roadmap for Real-Time Bidding and new initiatives.
  • Tracking and managing relevant OKRs and KPIs.
  • Identifying risks and communicating them to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collecting high-level business requirements and translating them into functional requirements.
  • Actively managing the product backlog and refining it based on product needs.
  • Creating wireframes and driving the UI design process with UX designers.
  • Leading PI Planning and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Documenting processes in Confluence.
  • Presenting software demos to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Working with engineers to create dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the product meets compliance standards.
  • Assisting the QA team in creating test plans and validating test results.
  • Participating in user acceptance testing and post-implementation reviews.
  • Creating and coordinating go-live checklists and activities.
  • Managing end-to-end application ownership and responsibilities.
  • Operating independently and prioritizing work to support concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrating exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Experience with Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Expertise in tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or Trello.
  • Ability to write clear, actionable user stories and epics.
  • Familiarity with use case modeling and story mapping.
  • Basic understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP) and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with QA processes and automated testing tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Digital Transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Bidding processes.
  • Experience with compliance standards related to AMEX and enterprise.
