About the position

As a Product Owner II at Nelnet Business Services (NBS), you will play a crucial role in coordinating product development and release planning, ensuring the successful delivery of both new and existing products. NBS, a division of Nelnet, Inc., is dedicated to providing innovative payment technology, education services, and learning management solutions to a diverse range of clients, including over 1,300 higher education institutions and 11,500 K-12 schools. Your work will directly impact the customer experience, as you will be responsible for creating use cases, requirements, and estimations that align with company objectives. In this position, you will collaborate closely with agile development teams, spending significant time validating user experience (UX) mocks and early-stage simulations with clients. You will also document release notes and manage analytics to track the customer journey through our products. Your role will involve working with other departments and the product manager to provide essential content for sales, user training, and documentation tools. Additionally, you will ensure that client documentation is updated and effective, including release notes and roadmaps. You will launch new products with the assistance of the Product Manager and manage a client feedback tool to ensure that the voice of the customer is integrated into each product. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you study and report on product analytics, and you will serve as a resource for onboarding new team members, helping to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate product development and release planning.
  • Create use cases, requirements, and estimations in support of company objectives.
  • Document release notes and manage analytics behind the customer's journey through products.

  • Ensure solutions meet market expectations by working with development teams.

  • Manage a client feedback tool to ensure the voice of the customer is heard in each product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years related experience or existing product knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
