About the position

The Product Owner is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and product teams, ensuring that product development aligns with business needs and market demands. This role involves managing the product backlog, facilitating communication among teams, and leading initiatives to deliver on the product roadmap effectively. The Product Owner champions new ideas and leverages insights backed by data to drive product success.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective relationships and partnerships with internal/external business stakeholders at all levels.
• Understand business needs and challenges, championing new ideas backed by quantifiable metrics.
• Leverage market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to build the product backlog.
• Partner with business owners to groom the product backlog and maintain the product roadmap.
• Identify budget and resource needs to deliver on the product roadmap and build business cases for funding.
• Lead and facilitate product teams to deliver on the product roadmap, inspiring innovative thinking.
• Elicit, visualize, and document business requirements in the form of user stories.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize objectives effectively.

Requirements

• College degree or 5+ years relevant work experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a product owner.
• Experience in Azure DevOps or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodology and principles.
• Demonstrated computer skills including knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
