About the position

AssetWorks is seeking an experienced Product Owner for our industry-leading Fleet management products. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter who will be responsible for overseeing & delivering the timely release of our software products. As a key member of the product development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across Product Management, UI/UX, Engineering and QA to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position will be responsible for driving adherence to agile principles, managing release planning, and accelerating our innovation to our customers. In this role, you will set user story standards and ensure test and acceptance criteria for them. You will work closely with the Product Manager and UX team to refine user stories, monitor and enforce Jira hygiene, and facilitate feature, bug, and tech debt prioritization with Product Managers. You will also facilitate and ensure yearly, release, and sprint work plans, manage the backlog continuously prioritizing and adjusting based on business needs, and regularly communicate status, escalate issues, and remove blockers. Establishing and communicating key performance indicators (KPIs) will also be a critical part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will act as a Release Manager to help plan releases and ensure timely delivery of our products.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field from an accredited college or university
  • 10 years in enterprise software development
  • Prior experience as a product owner, scrum master, or software product management
  • Experience using Jira to build and track epics and user stories and construct a release pipeline
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams
  • Experience with overseeing CI/CD pipelines
  • Skilled at collaborating across departments and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to drive product decisions across stakeholders with complete information
  • Experience with refining development methodologies to improve the delivery and velocity of releases and user stories
  • Ability to work with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification is a plus
