About the position

The Product Owner will play a crucial role in determining the product deployment and rollout calendar, ensuring a smooth glide path to customer adoption. This includes defining product registration activities and establishing, maintaining, and adhering to appropriate compliance and controls related to business processes and product development. The individual will engage in day-to-day production issue triaging for the product, reporting on issues, defining impact assessments, and tracking solutions in collaboration with the technology team. In addition to managing production issues, the Product Owner will provide strategic product expertise and guidance on significant matters. This includes overseeing the development of product documentation, FAQs, and other reference materials for both internal and external audiences. The role also involves developing an approach for customer training, which may include webinars, focus group engagements, lender advisory panels, or onsite visits. The Product Owner will assist cross-functional teams in product discovery by obtaining insights from stakeholders, including customers, CDT, CXD, and marketing teams. They may also partner with lenders and customers on new business strategies, synthesizing data and disseminating insights to assess market needs and identify competitive product opportunities. The Product Owner will ensure future state alignment with business, technical, and data architectures, as well as alignment with the division's key objectives. This role requires exceptionally strong analytical skills and participation in product epic discovery, leading feature discovery initiatives. The individual may lead test strategies and facilitate customer and end-user testing through test and learn development iterations, closing the loop on customer feedback. Additionally, the Product Owner will manage end-to-end business process impacts for cross-functional and complex solutions, potentially leading multiple product analysis activities and being responsible for the product adoption roadmap and regulatory mandates compliance adoption roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining product deployment and rollout calendar with glide path to customer adoption, including definition of product registration activities.
• Establish, maintain and adhere to appropriate compliance and controls related to business processes and product development.
• Engage in day-to-day production issue triaging for the product and report on issues, define impact assessment and track solutions with technology team.
• Provide strategic product expertise and guidance on significant matters.
• Oversee development of product documentation, FAQs, and other reference material for internal and external audiences.
• Develop approach for customer training (internal or external) through webinars, focus group engagements, lender advisory panels or onsite visits.
• Help cross-functional teams in discovery for product by obtaining insights from stakeholders, including Customer, CDT, CXD and Marketing.
• Partner with lenders and customers on new business strategies.
• Synthesize data and disseminate insights to assess market needs and competitive product opportunities.
• Ensure future state alignment with business, technical and data architectures and alignment with Divisions Key Objectives.
• Participate in product epic discovery; lead feature discovery.
• Lead test strategy and facilitate customer and end user testing through test & learn development iterations and closing the loop on customer feedback.
• Manage end-to-end business process impacts for cross-functional/complex solutions.
• Lead multiple product analysis activities and be responsible for product adoption roadmap and regulatory mandates compliance adoption roadmap.

Requirements

• Must have Mortgage domain expertise.
• Good understanding of different Lender/customer industry delivery file XML formats such as MISMO/ULDD, 1003/ULAD, UCD and comfort with data mapping exercises.
• Successful track record working in Scaled Agile environments preferred.
• AWS Cloud migration know-how is a huge plus.
• Demonstrated success building consensus, monitoring progress and results, and providing findings on significant matters.
• Experience soliciting customer feedback and responding to product-related inquiries.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to vet product ideas and influence decision making on product enhancements.
• Strong analytical skills in sourcing insights, identifying best practices and opportunities.
• Risk and controls experience.
• Experience in creating end user training materials preferred.
