About the position

The Product Owner role at Diverse Lynx LLC is a contract position that requires a knowledgeable individual in Peoplesoft Financial, particularly in Sourcing and Procurement and Supplier Management. The primary responsibility of the Product Owner is to communicate the product vision, roadmap, and progress to internal cross-functional stakeholders. This role serves as the voice of the customer and the business, possessing a fundamental understanding of the end-to-end experience. The Product Owner will lead the planning of product releases and set expectations for the delivery of new features, ensuring that both business needs and technical readiness are prioritized in the product features and requirements backlog. In addition to leading product releases, the Product Owner will define and lead continuous improvement initiatives for features and/or products. This includes obtaining strategic buy-in from both internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating key messages throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires the creation of product strategy and business requirements for new features or products, actively seeking customer and market input as a source of product innovation. The Product Owner will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the initial roll-out of products and provide necessary support. Participation in technical discussions to help make design trade-offs is essential, as is the ability to identify both business and technical impediments and drive product development. The Product Owner will guide the technology platform owner in managing agile user stories with clear acceptance criteria for the development team’s execution. Close collaboration with functional business callers/owners is necessary to create and maintain a product backlog that reflects business value and priority. The role also involves supporting functional opportunities or initiatives and driving Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for a unified technology and customer experience. Additionally, the Product Owner will liaise and negotiate with IT SaaS vendors on all product-related issues, working directly with business and IT executives.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in Peoplesoft Financial, Sourcing and Procurement, and Supplier Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prepare executive-level presentations.
  • Experience in leading product releases and managing product backlogs.
  • Ability to engage with diverse functional stakeholders.
