The Product Owner position is a contract role based in Tampa, Florida, with remote work options available. The successful candidate will demonstrate thorough abilities and a proven record of success in various areas critical to product development and user experience. This includes working with high-level UX principles such as user stories, pretotype and prototype development approaches, and information architecture. The role also involves conducting customer and product research methodologies, including A/B testing and multivariate testing (MVT). The Product Owner will be responsible for designing engaging user experiences across desktop, web, and mobile applications, ensuring that the end product meets user needs and expectations. In this role, the Product Owner will design, conduct, and analyze customer and prospect interviews to gather insights that inform product development. They will create business cases for new features based on needs assessments and feasibility studies, generating requirement documents to communicate product features and decisions to all stakeholders. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with UI/UX and development teams, guiding features from concept through to deployment within an agile framework. Additionally, they will manage backlogs, conduct feature reviews, and facilitate postmortems on sprints and deployments to continuously improve the product development process. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and have experience in developing digital products, release planning, and creating product roadmaps. They should be adept at managing and creating backlogs and requirements, utilizing prioritization planning, and conducting competitive analyses to drive product segmentation and business case development. A solid understanding of software development methods and frameworks, as well as design and user experience principles, is essential. The Product Owner will also need to identify product performance drivers and establish success metrics, utilizing software tools commonly used in agile development, such as Jira, Rally, or Pivotal.
