About the position

The Product Owner at Windstar Cruises will lead the product ownership for the Seaware reservations platform and its associated systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that the platform meets the needs of various business stakeholders while overseeing the planning, design, and training processes. The Product Owner will collaborate with multiple departments to facilitate communication, align business requirements with strategic goals, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication regarding roadmap items and support metrics, reporting on the impact of the roadmap.
• Ensure business requirements align with the roadmap strategy and drive successful project execution.
• Gather and validate requirements from business units, translating them into actionable items for the roadmap.
• Ensure all roadmap items have supporting documentation and maintain decision-making archives.
• Facilitate discovery processes to identify and document requirements, ensuring development dependencies are communicated.
• Develop and maintain metrics to measure the impact of the roadmap and create comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
• Monitor development timelines, identify potential delays, and work with teams to mitigate risks.
• Conduct thorough research to support operational needs, analyze findings, and provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrate familiarity with agile development processes and scrum methodology.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with data security and privacy mandates, assisting in patching environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, Program Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Business Analyst.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and training purposes.
• Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
• Strong analytical skills, including success criteria and data-driven decision-making.
• Post-launch analytics experience.
• Knowledge of Payment Card Industry compliance and other security compliance requirements.

• Experience working with a cruise line reservation platform and related commercial applications.
