Concorde Inc. is seeking an energetic and highly responsible Product Owner to lead the management and evolution of our software products. The ideal candidate will balance the challenges of maintaining multiple legacy systems with the need to develop new, innovative solutions that support our business growth. This role demands a self-motivated individual with deep technical and business acumen, capable of navigating complex team dynamics and driving projects to completion. The Product Owner will work closely with multiple teams to ensure the seamless operation of legacy software while pushing multiple new development products. In this position, the Product Owner will be responsible for strategic planning and execution, leading sprint planning meetings, defining the scope of software development, and creating well-structured Jira tickets with clear stories and requirements. They will maintain and prioritize a comprehensive backlog of product development requests, ensuring alignment with both legacy maintenance needs and new development goals. The Product Owner will oversee the product roadmap, managing deadlines, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role also requires technical expertise and system management, where the Product Owner will manage and upgrade legacy systems, devising strategies to maintain and improve these systems while integrating new technologies. They will utilize their knowledge of software development practices and system architecture to inform decisions and ensure effective communication with developers. Additionally, they will lead efforts to integrate legacy systems with new platforms, managing APIs, data migration, and ensuring seamless interoperability. Team collaboration and leadership are crucial, as the Product Owner will act as a key liaison between Product, Customer Service, and Technical teams, facilitating clear communication and ensuring alignment of project goals and requirements. They will motivate and guide teams through complex projects, balancing legacy system maintenance with new development initiatives, and optimize resource allocation across multiple projects. Stakeholder management and communication are also key responsibilities, engaging with stakeholders to align expectations and ensure business goals are clear and achievable, especially within the constraints of legacy systems. The Product Owner will communicate the implications of technical debt to non-technical stakeholders and advocate for necessary investments in refactoring or re-engineering legacy components. Finally, the Product Owner will develop and implement a vision for modernizing legacy systems in a way that supports future business growth, including identifying opportunities for automation, cloud migration, and adoption of new technologies. They will establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to legacy system stability, new feature development, and overall team productivity, driving continuous improvement in product development processes.
