About the position

The Product Owner will play a crucial role in defining the product vision and strategy for innovative patient service solutions aimed at enhancing the patient experience and streamlining customer processes. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, development teams, and patients, to ensure that the products developed meet user needs and align with business goals. The Product Owner will be responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. In this role, the Product Owner will develop and maintain a product roadmap that reflects customer needs, market trends, and technological advancements. They will engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring that there is alignment between product development and business objectives. The Product Owner will act as the primary point of contact for all product-related communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders on product status, progress, and upcoming releases. Additionally, the Product Owner will create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is focused on delivering the most valuable features. They will write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces and workflows. Conducting market research and user interviews will be essential to understand patient needs and identify opportunities for improvement. The Product Owner will also analyze competitive products and industry trends to inform product decisions and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that reflects customer needs, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams, to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Ensure alignment between product development and business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related communications.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on product status, progress, and upcoming releases.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is working on the most valuable features.
  • Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other product documentation.
  • Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces and workflows.
  • Conduct market research and user interviews to understand patient needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze competitive products and industry trends to inform product decisions.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product performance against them.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure products comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Work closely with QA teams to ensure rigorous testing and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in the healthcare, patient services industry.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare processes and patient services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for delivering high-quality products.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Adaptable and open to feedback, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification is preferred.
