About the position

The Product Owner at Incident IQ plays a crucial role in the development and execution of the product strategy for the company's SaaS service management platform tailored for K-12 schools. This position is integral to one of the three Scrum teams, where the Product Owner is responsible for translating the product strategy defined by the Product Manager into actionable tasks for the development team. The role requires close collaboration with UI/UX designers and engineering resources to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product that meets the needs of K-12 school operations. As a product ambassador, the Product Owner will engage with key internal stakeholders and external customers to validate potential solutions and troubleshoot customer issues. This position demands outstanding communication and analytical skills, as well as a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. The Product Owner will drive the execution of a three-month product roadmap aimed at enhancing workflows and productivity within K-12 school operations. Responsibilities include developing clear user stories and requirements with defined acceptance criteria, participating in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Daily Standups, and collaborating with designers to create an exceptional user experience. The Product Owner will also support go-to-market initiatives, particularly during product launches, and will be responsible for planning and prioritizing the product development backlog. Additionally, the role involves mapping new features and creating dashboards to evaluate product usage, serving as a liaison between Product and Engineering, and ensuring that all relevant teams understand product feature specifications. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in product management, particularly in building SaaS solutions for B2B markets, and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
