Product Photographer and Photo Editor

About the position

The Product Photographer and Photo Editor at Seaweed Studio is responsible for capturing high-quality images of small products for eCommerce purposes and editing these photos using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. This part-time, contract position offers flexibility in scheduling and allows for remote photo editing after an initial training period. The role requires a passion for photography and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on white background photography and occasional lifestyle shoots.

Responsibilities

• Photograph products for eCommerce in the studio using provided equipment.
• Utilize various lighting techniques and equipment to achieve desired photographic results.
• Select and focus stack images for optimal presentation.
• Edit eCommerce photos in Photoshop to isolate them on a white background or edit lifestyle photos in Lightroom.

Requirements

• Experience with DSLR cameras is required.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is preferred.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.
• A visually artistic eye and understanding of good lighting.

Nice-to-haves

• A passion for visual art/design.
• Experience with videography.
• Familiarity with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Dimension).
• Experience with Shopify, web design, or eCommerce.
• A degree in visual art, graphic design, marketing, or computer science.
