About the position

The Product Portfolio Manager at Danfoss Power Solutions is a pivotal role focused on managing the product lifecycle, conducting market analysis, and driving new product development specifically for gear solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of gear pumps and motors, ensuring that the product portfolio aligns with customer needs and market trends. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams and values diverse ideas to foster personal growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities in the Gear Solutions segment.
• Contribute to the development of the product strategy and define a clear roadmap aligned with market needs.
• Support in defining positioning and pricing strategy for the Gear Solutions portfolio.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from launch to discontinuation, to meet market requirements and business objectives.
• Participate in the new product development process, from ideation to market launch, collaborating closely with R&D and other relevant departments.
• Assist in organizing and conducting the Product Board process for new products and product improvements.
• Provide support and training to the sales team and customers regarding the product portfolio and its benefits.
• Define sales guidelines and promotional strategies for the products, including strategies for promotion or limited promotion.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Management Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with exposure to hydraulics.
• At least seven years of experience in similar roles in international and moderately structured environments.
• Knowledge of gear pumps and motors systems and understanding the importance of related components.
• Technical understanding of gear solutions and their applications in various markets, including steering and electric steering applications.
• Proven experience in product lifecycle management and market analysis, familiar with key players and their trends.
• Project management expertise and experience in product launch, ensuring efficient planning and execution.
• Skills in using data analysis tools to support informed and strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptable to both internal and external contexts.
• Strong knowledge of English language (written & spoken).

• Willingness to travel for business trips, less than 10% of the year.
