About the position

The Product Portfolio Manager at Danfoss Power Solutions is a pivotal role focused on managing the lifecycle of gear solutions products. This position involves market analysis, product strategy development, and collaboration with various departments to ensure that the product portfolio aligns with customer needs and market trends. The role emphasizes innovation and personal growth within a diverse and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities in the Gear Solutions segment.
  • Contribute to the development of the product strategy and define a clear roadmap aligned with market needs.
  • Support in defining positioning and pricing strategy for the Gear Solutions portfolio.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from launch to discontinuation, to meet market requirements and business objectives.
  • Participate in the new product development process, from ideation to market launch, collaborating closely with R&D and other relevant departments.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting the Product Board process for new products and product improvements.
  • Provide support and training to the sales team and customers regarding the product portfolio and its benefits.
  • Define sales guidelines and promotional strategies for the products.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Management Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with exposure to hydraulics.
  • At least seven years of experience in similar roles in international and moderately structured environments.
  • Knowledge of gear pumps and motors systems and their components.
  • Technical understanding of gear solutions and applications in various markets, including steering and electric steering applications.
  • Proven experience in product lifecycle management and market analysis.
  • Project management expertise and experience in product launch.
  • Skills in using data analysis tools for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both internal and external contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of the English language (written & spoken).
