About the position

The Product Portfolio Manager at ChemPoint LLC is responsible for managing, optimizing, and growing the company's product lines in alignment with supplier investments and strategic objectives. This role involves acting as the primary contact for suppliers, analyzing sales data, coordinating marketing strategies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective product line management and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison and primary ChemPoint contact for suppliers, leveraging partnership opportunities.
  • Analyze sales results and provide direction to the marketing team for campaign strategy.
  • Build product line plans and coordinate internal strategies to align with supplier and internal objectives.
  • Implement and monitor sales execution, providing product line training and support on pricing issues.
  • Work with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to plan monthly/yearly sales projections.
  • Collaborate with Market Developers on demand generation activities and results.
  • Mentor interns by providing relevant projects and tasks.
  • Align behavior and actions with ChemPoint culture, promoting innovation and change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience in a business-to-business sales organization, preferably as a Market Developer, or 5+ years of equivalent technical sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of using PC and Windows OS, with experience in MS Office Suite and strong Excel skills.
  • Consultative selling skills and versatility in customer interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including telephone skills.
  • Knowledge of ChemPoint products & services and the industries served.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of pricing and marketing strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ChemPoint IT applications, XRM database experience preferred.
