About the position

The Product Pricing Analyst at TE Connectivity plays a crucial role in developing and implementing pricing strategies and models based on various factors including cost overhead and market dynamics. This position is responsible for analyzing quote requests, assessing product specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate pricing and cost management. The analyst will also provide mentorship and training to other employees, contributing to the overall objectives of the department and supporting the Aerospace, Defense and Marine business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Assess quote requests to determine if the requested product meets application requirements based on specifications.
  • Evaluate quote requests to ensure components meet the form, fit, and function of requested end assemblies.
  • Create bills of materials and manufacturing routers based on similar parts to generate costing, MOQ, price, and lead times.
  • Collaborate with engineering to identify new part numbers when similar parts do not exist for future cost analysis.
  • Assist with technical requests from TE Customer Service and external customers.
  • Support project management and engineering in determining pricing for project quotes, including feasibility and costing.
  • Continuously review standard costs and work with plant finance and engineering to correct inaccuracies.
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments to assess producibility of products not recently requested.
  • Review potential no-bid parts with product management as they arise.
  • Drive results through collaboration and influence among colleagues and peers.
  • Provide training and mentorship to other employees, offering subject matter expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of pricing, product management, or technical pricing management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including engineering, product management, finance, and customer service.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Defense customers/products.
  • Technical knowledge and background in pricing business acumen.
  • Ability to mentor and provide pricing subject matter expertise to team members.
