About the position

The Technical Product Program Manager will lead the Photonics Platforms Business team in managing technical programs related to the development and release of innovative optical components. This role focuses on ensuring project objectives are met, resources are utilized effectively, and compliance with company policies is maintained. The manager will also spearhead research and development efforts, driving the application of new technologies in the field of optics.

Responsibilities

  • Define specific project and program objectives and complete necessary preliminary activities for effectiveness during later stages.
  • Ensure all projects and programs are completed according to predetermined requirements, focusing on specifications, costs, resource utilization, and timelines.
  • Document all phases of project and program development, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Utilize material and financial resources effectively throughout project execution.
  • Assign work to subordinate staff, fostering professional development and productivity.
  • Manage the development, support, maintenance, and implementation of complex projects through a team.
  • Spearhead research and development of new technologies and ensure integration into products/services.
  • Optimize design development activities and timelines using computing resources.
  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts to resolve complex operational problems.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in managing technical programs, preferably in optical device components.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product management for optical devices.
  • Certifications related to project management or optical engineering.
