About the position

As a Product Puller at Oak Farms Dairy, you will play a crucial role in the efficient loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the plant and surrounding areas. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth distribution of products. You will be responsible for pulling and stacking products based on daily orders, ensuring that customer specifications are met in a timely manner. Maintaining organization and proper rotation of products is essential, as is supporting preventative maintenance plans to ensure operational efficiency. In this role, you will frequently monitor product quality and report any issues that may arise, thereby helping to mitigate safety concerns. You will also be tasked with completing production and quality logs accurately, furnishing precise counts on load tags, and ensuring that all paperwork is filled out clearly and accurately. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is critical, and you will be expected to document all required information accordingly. A continuous improvement mindset is encouraged, and you will assist in identifying opportunities to enhance processes. Reporting any food safety and quality-related issues to management is a key responsibility, as is maintaining safe working conditions for all employees in compliance with state and federal regulations regarding health and safety. You will be expected to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work in alignment with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
  • Receive, store, and distribute products to assist in distribution.
  • Pull and stack products based on daily orders.
  • Meet customer order specifications in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organization and good rotation of products.
  • Support preventative maintenance plans.
  • Monitor product quality and report issues to mitigate safety concerns.
  • Complete production and quality logs accurately.
  • Furnish accurate counts on load tags.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out clearly and accurately.
  • Document all required information in accordance with SOPs.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and corporate regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during the course of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to legibly write entries for record keeping.
  • Ability to use company computer systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
