About the position

This role will provide essential administrative support for the Production Quality Team, ensuring that all processes and documentation are handled efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating First Article Inspection Reports, which are critical for maintaining quality standards in production. This position requires interaction with multiple departments to facilitate the closing and processing of Manufacturing Work Orders, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date. In addition to these responsibilities, the role involves managing part transactions within the ERP system, auditing records for accuracy, and compiling and managing First Article Reports and Conformity packets as required by company procedures or FAA regulations. The candidate will also assist in maintaining the Approved Vendor List and various Production Quality tracking spreadsheets, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the production process. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Interact with multiple departments to facilitate processes.
  • Close and process Manufacturing Work Orders.
  • Handle ERP system part transactions.
  • Audit records for accuracy.
  • Compile and manage First Article Reports and Conformity packets as required by company procedures or FAA regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining the Approved Vendor List.
  • Maintain various Production Quality tracking spreadsheets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Aviation experience is a plus but not required.
  • First Article Inspections experience (2 years preferred).
  • Ability to locate, read, and follow technical data appropriate for the assigned task.
  • Reliable and flexible regarding work priority, scope, or schedule.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and effectively utilize other software applications.
  • Track record of being proactive and successfully working under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas, concepts, and proposals to a wide range of audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
