About the position
The Product Quality Control Engineering Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes for Life Science Mass Spectrometry products. This role focuses on improving product quality measures and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective quality management practices. The supervisor will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and drive initiatives that support product development and operational success.
Responsibilities
- Support new product development teams from design feasibility through commercialization.
- Drive a robust First Article inspection program using the SAP Quality Module.
- Lead and encourage a strong product quality culture by establishing performance expectations.
- Leverage production and field data to identify and coordinate improvement projects.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented to address quality complaints.
- Proactively engage team members to identify and address product or process issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, scientific, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- At least 2 years in people management.
- Solid understanding of ISO 9001, 13485, or similar quality management systems.
- Experience in leading quality initiatives for new product introductions.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with validation process design/validation, change control, and auditing quality management systems.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings for specification gaps causing supplier defects.
