About the position

The Product Regulatory Lead is responsible for overseeing the compliance of Power Sports & Products (PS&P) with relevant regulations. This role involves coordinating with direct reports, interpreting regulations, and ensuring that products meet compliance standards. The position requires engagement with various internal departments and industry groups to facilitate regulatory compliance and manage the performance of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Receive, research & interpret regulation information & trends from regions where PS&P products may be distributed.
• Propose readiness plans as needed to Manager based on regulatory research.
• Engage manufacturing departments and leadership for countermeasure activity related to regulation compliance.
• Lead substance assessments for Mass Production products and perform reporting for external regulation requirements (EPA, European Customs, etc.).
• Review/Confirm suitability and accuracy of documents and reports generated by Direct Report(s), providing feedback.
• Development planning and performance management of Direct Report(s).
• Represent Honda PS&P Manufacturing in Industry Groups.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a related field if no degree; 2+ years of experience required if degree in relevant field.
• Associate's degree in engineering or technical field.

Nice-to-haves

• Comprehension of technical standards (EPA, SAE, ANSI, etc.).
• Experience with specifications, part structure, SOM, design changes.
• Project Management & Time Management skills.
• Effective communication, presentation, negotiation and team collaboration skills.
• Leadership skills for managing Direct Report(s) and small groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, product compliance management systems, IMDS, SOM systems.
