About the position

The Product Safety Test Engineer will join Element's operations team, focusing on testing electrical and electronic devices to ensure compliance with national and international safety standards. This role involves generating technical reports for regulatory requirements and supporting the development of new testing capabilities within the Product Safety Department.

Responsibilities

• Support testing of electrical/electronic devices to key National and International safety standards (such as 60601-1, 62368-1, 61010-1, and 60335-1)
• Generate technical test reports for CE marking, NRTL, IECEE CB, and other regulatory requirements
• Support the development of new capabilities within the Product Safety Department
• Carry out examination and implementation of testing concepts and data

Requirements

• Working knowledge of laboratory quality aspects around ISO 17025
• High level of expertise in core theories, concepts, terminologies, and boundaries of electrical engineering
• Degree or similar qualification in an electrical-based background
• Previous experience testing to core standards such as 60601-1, 62368-1, 61010-1, and/or 60335-1
• Ability to analyze and compile testing data from tests performed
