About the position

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Industrial Account Manager for the Chicago market, specifically for the Circuit Protection and Controls Business. This pivotal role involves managing, penetrating, and expanding Siemens' presence at OEM power distribution accounts within the region, carrying a multi-million-dollar sales quota. The selected candidate will be responsible for fostering sales growth with direct accounts by establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to customer partners and developing relationships that span from C-Suite executives to shop floor technicians. In this role, the individual will be tasked with developing and maintaining robust relationships with both new and existing clients while identifying potential target customers. The responsibilities include presenting, promoting, and selling electrical components such as circuit breakers and control products to current and prospective customers. The candidate will also provide technical support and product knowledge to ensure customers understand the features and benefits of the products offered. Negotiating pricing and managing sales agreements to meet sales targets and business objectives will be a key part of the job. Collaboration with business development and other resources will be essential to address customer needs and feedback effectively. The use of CRM software to manage customer accounts, track sales opportunities, and document activities will be required. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to management as needed, ensuring that all sales activities align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of Industrial Sales Experience.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working with electrical power distribution builders, engineers, purchasing, and industrial clients.
  • Knowledge of electrical products including circuit breakers, industrial controls, safety switches, and related components.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the electrical components industry.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
