About the position

Oceanit Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Sales Manager - Retail & Distribution to grow and develop business across multiple sales channels. This role is crucial for securing placements for Wholesale/Catalog and independent Specialty Retail channels, including major retailers such as CVS, Foodland, ABC stores, nursing homes, hospitals, care centers, and other health and wellness-focused retailers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling Assure-100 COVID test kits and will conduct both in-person and virtual previews to customers. This position requires a well-organized, highly efficient, and service-minded individual with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. The Product Sales Manager will develop, maintain, and manage day-to-day relationships with customers in the assigned territory. Daily functions will include maintaining contact with existing accounts and developing opportunities with new and existing customers. The role also involves managing Amazon and Shopify distribution channels to achieve targeted sales goals. The candidate will be expected to formulate sales analysis and reporting using internal platforms and tools, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional opportunities and maximize distribution and placement of products. In addition to account development and sales, the Product Sales Manager will support the director in creating promotional strategies to meet fiscal goals. This includes attending and participating in internal meetings, sharing ideas to secure product placements, and providing constructive account feedback and forecasting on market trends. The role also requires liaising with internal departments, including Accounting, Administration, and Product Development, to successfully manage orders and accounts, as well as organizing and attending specialty trade shows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage day-to-day relationships with customers in the assigned territory.
  • Sell Assure-100 COVID test kits and conduct in-person and virtual previews to customers.
  • Manage Amazon and Shopify distribution channels to reach targeted sales goal metrics.
  • Develop targeted sales pitches, business development outreach, and seasonal presentations.
  • Maintain contact with existing accounts and develop opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Formulate sales analysis and reporting using internal platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional opportunities and maximize distribution and placement of products.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful retail and distribution sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, initiative-taking, and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and databases.
