About the position

The Product Sales Manager - Retail & Distribution at Oceanit is responsible for driving business growth across various sales channels, focusing on securing placements for products in wholesale/catalog and specialty retail environments. This role involves managing relationships with existing accounts and developing new opportunities, particularly in health and wellness sectors. The ideal candidate will be sociable, persuasive, and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on account development and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage day-to-day relationships with customers in the assigned territory.
  • Sell Assure-100 COVID test kits and conduct in-person and virtual previews to customers.
  • Manage Amazon and Shopify distribution channels to achieve targeted sales goals.
  • Develop targeted sales pitches, business development outreach, and seasonal presentations.
  • Maintain contact with existing accounts and develop opportunities with new customers.
  • Formulate sales analysis and reporting using internal platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional opportunities and maximize distribution.
  • Support the director in creating promotional strategies to meet fiscal goals.
  • Attend internal meetings to share ideas and secure product placements.
  • Provide account feedback and forecasting on market trends.
  • Liaise with internal departments to manage orders and accounts.
  • Help organize and attend specialty trade shows.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful retail and distribution sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, initiative-taking, and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and databases.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $40,000 - $55,000
  • Lucrative commissions and other incentives with no commission caps or decelerators.
