About the position
The Product Sample Assistant will support a well-known lifestyle, footwear, and apparel company by managing the logistics of product samples. This role involves receiving, sorting, and delivering samples to various departments, ensuring efficient operations within the product team. The position is onsite in Portland, OR, and is structured as a 3-month contract with the potential for contract-to-hire.
Responsibilities
- Receive daily shipments of samples and unload boxes.
- Scan samples and deliver footwear samples to various departments.
- Assist with ordering footwear samples for the Product team.
- Sort, pack, and ship footwear samples to Sales team members.
- Pull relevant samples for Fit & Wear team and Photo Studio team and deliver them to specific locations within the building.
Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, footwear, or apparel.
- Proactive communicator with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
