About the position
Meta's Product Security team is looking for a dedicated Product Security Engineer who is passionate about identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the security and privacy of Meta's vast user base across various platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. The engineer will collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide security expertise, conduct security reviews, and contribute to the overall security initiatives of the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual design and implementation reviews of products and services within the Meta ecosystem.
- Build automation and frameworks for static and dynamic analysis to enhance security across all products.
- Provide guidance and education to developers to prevent vulnerabilities in code.
- Support the bug bounty program by offering technical guidance to researchers.
- Contribute to the security community through conference talks and open-source projects.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in finding vulnerabilities in interpreted languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of best practices in secure code development.
- Experience with exploiting common security vulnerabilities.
