About the position

The Product Security Investigations Analyst role at Control Risks involves supporting a premier client by conducting investigations related to the theft, duplication, and violations of intellectual property (IP) and products. The analyst will perform in-depth analyses of brand protection issues, monitor online marketplaces, and analyze internal data sources to identify patterns and support investigations into illicit supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into concerns related to theft, duplication, or violations of the client's IP and products.
• Perform in-depth analysis of brand protection issues including counterfeiting, diversion, and tampering of consumer health goods.
• Monitor and analyze online marketplaces, social media, and open-source intelligence for potential violations of brand rights and IP.
• Analyze internal data sources to identify linkages and patterns to support the triage process for new incidents and ongoing investigations.
• Set and deliver structured action and collection plans for each investigation.
• Review and assess vendor investigative plans and budgets, obtaining alignment from the Regional Director.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to determine appropriate investigative strategies under the guidance of the Regional Director.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on investigations referred for enforcement.
• Maintain accurate and thorough investigative records and capture related metrics in case management systems.
• Assist in conducting periodic vendor performance assessments and support evidence storage and destruction processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience investigating and enforcing brand protection issues and/or data analytics and reporting.
• Experience with IP enforcement, preferably with litigation and/or in-house experience.
• Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in search methodologies and enforcement protocols.
• Superior analytical and communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style based on need.
