About the position

The State of Minnesota is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Solution Analyst to join the Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG). This position plays a critical role in transforming services and offerings through the delivery and support of products that enable the execution of OIG's mission and purpose. The OIG strives to deliver leading-edge background study, licensing, and program integrity services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and adults. The incumbent will support the design and execution of various product hubs, including the Provider Licensing Reporting Hub, Agency Licensing and Reporting Hub, and Program Integrity Hub, with a focus on empathy and customer/user centricity to maximize value outcomes for users. In this role, the Product Solution Analyst will be responsible for testing product releases against user story acceptance criteria, identifying bugs and usability issues, and performing regression testing. They will communicate defects to the applicable cross-functional product team for resolution. Additionally, the analyst will enable user success and maximize value for all internal and external users of OIG Enterprise products through comprehensive and empathetic issue resolution. Continuous evaluation and reporting of user satisfaction, metrics, and feedback to the product manager will also be a key responsibility. The position requires maintaining product and user enablement features such as knowledge articles, translations, communications, and templates. Responsibilities

  • Support the design and execution of the Provider Licensing Reporting Hub, Agency Licensing and Reporting Hub, and Program Integrity Hub products.
  • Test product releases against user story acceptance criteria, identify bugs and usability issues, and perform regression testing.
  • Communicate defects to the applicable cross-functional product team for resolution.
  • Enable user success and maximize value for all internal and external users of OIG Enterprise products through comprehensive and empathetic issue resolution.
  • Continuously evaluate and report user satisfaction, metrics, and feedback to the product manager.
  • Maintain product and user enablement features such as knowledge articles, translations, communications, and templates.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years professional experience supporting a product or the product user experience.
  • Experience assisting product users with problem solving, troubleshooting, or education.
  • Experience validating and testing product functionality and logging defects.
  • Experience maintaining product features or documentation such as templates, user guides, or knowledge articles.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, computer science or engineering, information systems or technology management, design or user experience, economics, psychology or behavioral science, data science or analytics, entrepreneurship, communications or public relations, or government administration may substitute for one (1) year of professional experience; OR a master's degree in the same fields may substitute for two (2) years of experience.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
