About the position

The Product Solutions Architect (PSA) at Datadog plays a crucial role in supporting the Log Management family of products, which is one of the fastest-growing segments of the company. The PSA will work closely with customers to architect and implement best practices for logging at scale, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and compliance goals. This position involves collaboration with various teams to drive customer success and includes responsibilities such as providing guidance on architecture choices, capturing customer use cases, and building training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product Expert on Datadog Log Management and related services.
  • Offer guidance on architecture choices and best practices to large Enterprise customers.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to Product Management by providing feedback based on field experience.
  • Capture repeat customer use cases and publish Reference Architectures and Implementation Guides.
  • Build training material, solutions briefs, blogs, and documentation for technical teams.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Community, Documentation, and Evangelism teams to ensure product success.
  • Build small scale deployments and proofs of concepts to verify proposed solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with major cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with Security and Compliance requirements for industry verticals.
  • Experience with languages like Python and Golang, and file formats such as JSON and YAML.
  • Ability to dive deep into codebases, SDKs, and GitHub processes.
  • Self-starter, tech-savvy professional comfortable with bleeding edge technology.
  • Deep learner and Subject Matter Expert with advocacy across multiple teams.
  • Fluent understanding of the observability market domain and customer needs.
  • Exceptional listening and consultative skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience working with customers in high-pressure situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful track record with 5+ years experience as an Architect or Consultant.
  • Experience using Datadog or other observability tools in an SRE or DevOps capacity.
  • Recent experience deploying solutions in production environments at scale.
  • Strong knowledge or experience with Splunk, Elastic, Opensearch, SumoLogic, Vector, or Cribl.
