About the position

As an Associate Solutions Engineer at SS&C, you will be part of the Product Solutions team, which is dedicated to providing exceptional customer satisfaction by resolving complex product issues for hedge fund and traditional asset management clients. This role involves collaborating with various teams within SS&C Eze, including Client Service, Software Development, Product Management, and Sales, to assess, troubleshoot, and track requests while delivering real-time solutions. You will undergo an extensive onboarding program to gain expertise in the enterprise SS&C Eze Order Management System, which will equip you with a strong understanding of the financial technology and investment management industry. Your responsibilities will include developing technical skills through hands-on training in SQL, C#, PowerShell, and other relevant technologies. You will be tasked with triaging, diagnosing, and resolving client-impacting incidents and problems, working directly with Research and Development (R&D) to complement the design of future product enhancements, and advocating for product supportability improvements. Participation in various R&D forums, such as Agile Sprint reviews and Scrum meetings, will be essential to your role. Additionally, you will produce documentation on product functionality, troubleshooting procedures, and other topics for training and reference purposes, while establishing strong relationships and clear lines of communication with all internal teams, including global colleagues.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution, preferably in STEM, IT, or business/finance.
  • Interest in the financial technology and investment management industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical skills: Microsoft SQL, Excel, C#, XML/XLST, Salesforce, Atlassian JIRA, PowerBI.
  • Experience with enterprise and/or SaaS support.
  • Investment industry skills: Bloomberg, FactSet, FIX Protocol, CFA or related certification(s).
